Used Book and Media Sale
Holland Loves Books! Thanks to all who participated in Holland's Used Book and Media Sale. Over 600 books found new homes, and we raised $212 for the Above the Seas project, aimed at providing resources for African libraries.

Used Book Sale
Cleaning out your family book shelves? Holland School's Used Book and Media Sale is back in 2015! We are currently collecting used books and movies, in French or English, suitable for children. The items will be sold for a nominal cost at our sale to be held soon! Drop items off at the office.
Move on
Today in class we read a book about life. The message that I got out of it is that you should never wait for something to happen, you should go to it. Like in the book the two mice went and try to find the next cheese station while the other two friends stayed there waiting for the cheese to come back. But it never will. Another message is that you should listen to yourself and not to what other people tell you. In the book hem was telling haw to stay with him and wait for the cheese to come back. But haw was getting tired of waiting so he decided to go to it. That is what he should've done long ago. He found what he wanted. My cheese would be to live my life how I want to live it and be myself. How would I be able to do that? It is probably able to say but not to do. To help me stay myself I would listen to myself and do the things that seem right to me. I wouldn't change for what other people want me to be. I would change as I grow up,like everyone else. I would change for a good reason and when I would be ready. I know this is going to be a hard challenge but this is want I want to be and how I will be. It is hard for me to chose how I would be between hem, haw, sniff and scurry because I am all of them. Sometimes I want to stay were I am and think like hem but I also go fast and don't pay attention to what I am doing like sniff and scurry. And other times I am both at the same time, like haw. How does this story relate to life? Everyone want something in life. Some people wait for it to come to them and some people instead of whaiting they go for it. That's what I think is the good thing to do. Hem was waiting for life to give something but life is too short to wait. So you shouldn't do like hem and wait. Go ahead and jump into life.
Xavier's cheese
I think that when I'm going to grow up I'm going to be like haw I will take a long time to study in school but when I'm gonna get out of school I'm gonna get a good job and get lots of money.
The money is like the cheese. When you start you have lots of money and after time the reduces.
And one day there will be no more money so I will need to go and work hard to find money again.
The measuring of the cheese is just like making good choices with the money. But in the book the mice didn't make the write choice they all ate the cheese.
