Mean, mean ,mean Mackenzie the most popular girl in this school is mean to everyone and respects no one but her friends. But one time Nikki was so annoyed that she said what she wanted to say to Mackenzie like in the song brave were it says "say what you wanna say and let the words fall out, honestly I wanna see you be brave."
I think this book was fun to read because it was like in real life because Nikki was in secondary and she had many steps to pass because she was being bullied and in real life people get bullied and they need to pass trough almost the same thing as her. I noticed that the author made some humour although this book is about bullying and he did some exaggeration, example p.129 it says "I am not going to be able to sit down for a week," I like how he exaggerates.
Never give up and have confidence in yourself. I think that is what the author is trying to learn us by showing us that being bullied is not always easy and sometimes you need to say what you want to say because it's going to be more hurtful if you keep it in you, you don't need to be shy cause if you don't express yourself the bully will keep picking on you cause your an easy target.
Other features that I found that was helping us visualize the book was sound effects because when the author describes it we can see it but if he puts sound effect we can see and hear what is happening. I think Nikki did the write thing by telling Mackenzie what she thought and to tell her that she was annoyed because if she would of haven't tell her maybe it could be worse because Mackenzie would of find that she's an easy target to bully so she would continue bullying her.
This author made me see how it's hard to be bully, I already knew it was hard but I didn't know all the steps you need to go through and this author showed us what we needed to dots get this person to stop bullying you. If someone reads that book it can make him/her think before acting and to ask themselves "Would I like being bullied?," and if the answer is no, don't do it to others.
I liked this book because this author did a story on what could happen in real life and it gave a message to the one who had been bullied or the people who bullied. I wish that if bully's read this book they got a message because maybe they will feel how it's not fun to be bullied and they will stop bullying people.
If I would of been Nikki I would of done the same thing as she did because if not it could of never stopped and I could get more and more annoyed so I could pass to a higher step, I don't want to pass to a higher step because it could be harder for me and harder for my family too.
