Response to hunger games

In the the hunger games, you have no allies. The book explains lots of things in this book like that if you are in a non-democratic country and do not get lots of money you can look for food and collect from the wild. If you have to, you might even break the rules cause you are so poor. Katniss stands up for her sister when she gets picked to do the hunger games. She did not want to lose her sister like she lost her dad when he was mining. This book is almost only for money. Cause if you have no money you can not buy food. So in that case you starve to death. Katniss did it to save her sister but also did to get some money for her family. I this story there was a lot of exaggeration and humour. This book had so much suspense that when a chapter ended I would continue.

This story makes me think of the other families that are poor cause int he story the  main character is poor. This makes me think that people who are poor deserve more treatment to survive and live for longer cause they suffer. It also reminds me of non-democratic country's. It reminds me of that cause they do events which get people killed. This reminded me of my cousins cause they are 5 children in one house and they eat a lot cause they are teens. They do not have lots of money.

This story had lots of humour in it cause at one point in this story for example the drunk person falls into vomit on the floor and then he wipes it on his face then says it stinks. This book has lots of humour in it so it made me want to read more of it so I could find lots of it. At the beginning when Katniss stands up for her sister, her sister starts crying. Then Katniss wants her to stop but she doesn't so a guy comes and picks her up and says your welcome catnip. He thought that was her name cause when they met she said it not that loud.

This book was so descriptive that when I read it it was like I was looking at the story happening in the real world. This story had description that gave all you had to know on characters places and all that stuff. In that story all the characters are like real cause they all have different kinds of attributes. Like Haymitch is always drunk. Katniss is very nice. Gale and Peeta are so nice and generous. The others are ether mean or kind to people they like.

This books key is suspense. It is that cause at the middle of a chapter or at the middle of a chapter and you have to stop you almost don't want to. In this book the suspense is what makes the book fun. Like in one part it stopped like right int he middle in the event to see who was going to the hunger games.

The setting in this book is one of the most important things in the book. Like before they go to the hunger games before it starts they say that the room is rich were they can meet there family to say good by. She described the room with details. Like she said that the carpet was fluffy and was a rich one. She also said that the room was so fancy that she had never seen one rich building like that in district 12. When they got not he train there was a shower and Katniss had never took a shower before so it would show that the people were poor and the government was rich cause of the hunger games. Int he train she took a shower and fanged clothes cause there was fancy clothes. If the author went into detail of one object and it would teach you what the object is and really good. Like in one part of the story before Katniss leaves the mayors daughter gave to her a golden pin with a mocking jay on it.it said that it represented courage and no fear. She put it on her and wore it to the hunger games.

In this book there are so many surprises that it would be hard to believe that there are no plot twists. When they pick prim as the girl to go to the hunger games so I thought she would go but Katniss said that she would take her place.

Why did they take Katniss to volunteer for the hunger games? I think they chose Katniss because she was the oldest child the family and did all the work cause her mother was in depression. I also think Katniss was a good idea cause she was sixteen and she got to see it more often and explain it well. It was not prim the main charter cause it was her first year to enter the hunger games. It would be a different thing but much less explained cause she is smaller.
